    My name is Evan and I’m looking for brewery work. I have about a year of commercial brewing experience at Township 7 Brewing Company, and 3 years home brewing experience.     My name is Charles Davis. I am currently a Soldier on Fort Drum, but I will be completing my military service obligation in November. My long term career goal is to operate my own brewery in my hometown. However, I have never worked in a brewery before. I recently started homebrewing to learn basic terminology and gain brewing knowledge as I go.

    Understanding that GCBW is operating under several constraints due to COVID-19, I am wondering if I can volunteer in any way at the brewery? My motivation to volunteer is to gain experience in a brewery, especially one that serves the local community. I am willing to do any work that you have; i am just hoping to learn from an experienced brewing crew. I am still working on post, but I can volunteer early, later, and/or on weekends if there is available work.

    Please let me know what I can do, if anything. I look forward to your response.

      Hi Charles. We are currently not in need of volunteers. We wish you well in your goals and welcome you to come in to try our beer. If our brewer is here when you come in, we can have you meet him. Thanks for your interest.

    I’m moving to Watertown in the next couple of months and am looking for a job. I have a background in food science and am a total geek for fermentation, so I’d love to grow my skills and knowledge by working hands on with Garland City Beer Works. I also have a good understanding of food safety and business practices. Please let me know if there’s any opportunities.

    I look forward to supporting this brewery whether it be a job or simply stopping by for a pint. Hope you all are staying safe.

    Sorry for waiting so long to say anything, but last August my wife and I took two (west coast friends) out for dinner and drinks to your establishment. My wife and I ate there once before and were pleased with the food. This time it was “totally” different. The ladies ordered a sword fish dinner, one had some type of BLT sandwich, and my wife had some kind of chicken dish with pasta and some kind of sauce, and I had the burger (which was expensive, but OK). The ladies dinners were terrible, friend from the west coast couldn’t even eat the sword fish (and was pretty sure it wasn’t even sword fish), other friend with the BLT plate didn’t eat hers either as parts of the bacon wasn’t completely cooked, my wife’s chicken dinner was cold and the pasta wasn’t completely cooked. Mind you, she has never complained about any dinner we’ve had out in the past 22 years, let alone send anything back to the kitchen. The worst part of this whole experience was when the waitress came back over to see how our meals were. Needless to say, my wife told her 3 of their meals were absolutely terrible (and described the problems), THEN the waitress “Laughed” in her face. My wife was shocked and embarrassed in front of our friends, I was speechless!!! Couldn’t believe that just happened! My fault…I shouldn’t have waited so long to say anything to the owners, I just didn’t want to make a seen in front of our guests. Waitress didn’t say a word about not paying for the meals not eaten, so I paid the bill and we left. Needless to say, I still stop once in a while and have a beer with a couple friends, but have not eaten there since. Again, I’m sorry I didn’t bring it to the owners attention when it happened, but I guess I was in shock. Just wanted to let the owners know that this happened and not make a big deal out of one waitresses poor lack of judgment, but if I was the owner, I would want to know.

      We are very sorry that you had this experience. Had we known then, we would have dealt with our staff to remedy the situation. Many things have changed here in the last year, including kitchen and service staff. We hope you will join us again and give us another chance.
